Chase, Hidgon & Ralls, PLC, proudly welcomes Virginia C. Ralls to our team. Virginia focuses on Trusts and Estates, Probate, and Family Law. We’re excited to have Virginia joining our staff. Virginia C. Ralls

Virginia was born and raised in Pensacola, and she graduated from the University of Florida cum laude with her Bachelor of Science in 2008. While also working full time, she attended the University of West Florida to earn her master’s degree. Virginia then attended the Thomas R. Kline School of Law at Drexel University in Philadelphia, where she was a member of the Veterans Law Society, Family Law Society, and International Law Society. During her time at Drexel University, she was also a mentor to younger law school students through the First Year Mentor Program and a teaching assistant for the family law class.

Law School Awards

Virginia completed over 100 hours of pro bono work during law school, working with the SeniorLAW center (providing support for Pennsylvania seniors) and the Marshall Brennan Project (teaching constitutional law to underprivileged high schools in the Philadelphia area). Virginia significantly exceeded the University’s 50-hour pro bono service requirement and received a Pro Bono Recognition Award as well as special acknowledgement in the graduation program for her service to the community.

Virginia also earned the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers Eric D. Turner Award. This award is given to the graduating student who, according to the law school’s faculty, best exemplifies the positive attributes of a matrimonial lawyer:

• Academic excellence
• Competence as a practitioner
• Commitment to the practice and development of family law, including assisting the indigent and improving the quality of the administration of justice in the field of family law
• Meeting the highest standards for ethical behavior

Community Involvement

Virginia is involved in charitable work through several different local organizations, including:

• As a member of the Pensacola Young Professionals (PYP), a group committed to making a local difference through leadership
• Through work with Children’s Home Society of Florida’s “Soundside Splendor” event, which raises money to stop child abuse in local counties
• As a Fiesta Commando leader in Fiesta Forces, working to coordinate local Pensacola events such as the Pensacola Crawfish Festival, Pensacola Seafood Festival, and Children’s Treasure Hunts

She also belongs to many alumni chapters, including the UF Alumni, UWF Alumni, Drexel University Alumni, and the Alumni Network of Drexel Law.
